Dentistry for Children

Being a family practice, the entire team at Mission Park Dental understand that the kids come first in every family. We take special care to ensure that your child’s first experience at the dentist is a positive one, so that future visits will be that much easier. The British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA) recommends that a child’s first visit to the dentist should be at 1 years of age or when their first tooth erupts. During this visit dietary pitfalls as well as tips and tricks for brushing will be reviewed with you and your child, then an exam of the dental development is performed. However, most of the time and energy is spent on familiarizing the child to the surroundings and equipment of a dental office.

If you have any questions about your child and of the expectations associated with their appointment please contact us at Mission Park Dental and will we be happy to help you.
