Raised in Vancouver, Dr. Benson is able to speak both English and Cantonese fluently. Like Dr. Linda, Dr. Benson was part of the select group that gained acceptance into the UBC Faculty of Dentistry after just 3 years of undergraduate studies, where he was pursuing a Major in Microbiology.
Since obtaining his DMD degree from the UBC Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Benson continues to stay active in the dental community through various continuing education courses as well as study clubs and has served on the dental faculty admissions committee at UBC. Within the family oriented general practice here at Mission Park Dental in Kelowna, Dr. Benson has a special interest in the surgical aspect of dentistry, ranging from the removal of wisdom teeth, gum grafting, to the placement of dental implants.
He has hundreds of hours of continuing education in surgical training and is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
